About Me

My name is Larsa Nordin, and I come from Östersund, a small town nestled between the forests and the lakes of northern Sweden. I’m 39 now, but I still cook the way my grandfather taught me—slowly, quietly, with deep respect for every ingredient.

I live in Seattle these days, but my soul still lives somewhere in the birch woods. I cook with the seasons, not with the clock. I believe every dish should have a reason to exist—whether it’s to warm, to nourish, or simply to remind you of something you forgot you loved.

My childhood meals were modest: root vegetables pulled from cold earth, fish caught at dawn, breads baked with dense, dark flours. We didn’t talk much at the table. We listened—to the wind, to the fire, to the way the butter melted when it touched the pan. It wasn’t fancy. It was honest.

I studied architecture before I ever held a chef’s knife professionally. That background taught me to appreciate balance, silence, space. When I finally chose food over buildings, I brought that same philosophy with me. On CrispDash, you won’t find 30-step recipes or shouting matches about spice levels. You’ll find clarity. Thoughtfulness. Maybe even stillness.

I work with roots and herbs, grains and ferments, wild berries and smoke. My desserts are barely sweet. My salads are rarely raw. I like flavors that echo—charred lemon, pine oil, rye, sea buckthorn, juniper. I’m not here to impress. I’m here to remind you that food is more than fuel—it’s memory, place, and poetry.

CrispDash is my canvas. A place where you’ll find pared-down recipes, seasonal pairings, and moments of quiet creativity. Whether you’re cooking by candlelight or prepping something simple for your Sunday reset, I hope my work gives you space to breathe and inspiration to begin.

Let the ingredients speak. Let the flavors guide you. And above all, let your kitchen be a place of peace.
