Description

Colorful, healthy, and crowd-pleasing fruit kabobs are perfect for parties. These refreshing skewers combine sweet and tart fruits for a vibrant, make-ahead appetizer that’s naturally vegan, gluten-free, and portable.

Ingredients

Strawberries – 1 cup (hulled and halved)
Cantaloupe – 1 cup (cubed or balled)
Pineapple – 1 cup (chopped)
Kiwi – 1 cup (sliced)
Red Grapes – 1 cup
Blackberries – 1 cup
Wooden skewers – 8 (6-8 inches) or metal skewers

Instructions

Wash all fruits thoroughly
Prepare strawberries: Hull and halve
Prepare cantaloupe: Cube or use a melon baller
Prepare pineapple: Chop into 1-inch pieces
Prepare kiwi: Peel and slice into thick rounds
Thread fruits onto skewers, alternating textures (e.g., firm pineapple with soft kiwi)
Balance with contrasting colors (e.g., red strawberries, green kiwi, red grapes)

Notes

Substitute cantaloupe with honeydew or watermelon
Use blueberries or raspberries if omitting blackberries
Add mandarin orange segments for a citrus twist
Balance soft (berries) and firm (pineapple) fruits to prevent slipping
Soak wooden skewers 30 minutes if serving later (optional)
Store unskewered fruit in separate airtight containers for easy prep
