Ingredients

1 cup boiling water
1 box (4-serving size) strawberry-flavored vegetarian gelatin
1 tub (12 oz) Betty Crocker™ Whipped Fluffy White Frosting
12 fresh strawberries (washed, hulled, and halved)
Instructions
Preheat oven to temperature specified on cake mix box (typically 350°F/175°C)
Prepare cake batter using cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and egg whites as directed on the box
Bake cake until springy to the touch
While cake is still warm, use a skewer to poke evenly spaced deep holes throughout the surface
Prepare gelatin with boiling water according to package instructions
