Delicious turkey burger sliders with BBQ sauce and Cajun seasoning, perfect for gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 pound 93% lean ground turkey
- ½ cup yellow onion (finely chopped)
- ¼ cup BBQ sauce
- 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
- 1 ½ teaspoons Kickin’ Cajun Seasoning Mix
- 12 dinner rolls (brioche style or sweet Hawaiian)
- ⅓ cup mayonnaise (regular or light)
- 1 tablespoon Sriracha sauce (or to taste)
- 2 cups shredded cheese (divided, I used pepper Jack)
- 2 teaspoons melted butter
- 1 teaspoon everything bagel seasoning
Instructions
- Warm olive oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add ground turkey and chopped onion, and cook until turkey is no longer pink, about 5 minutes.
- Pour off excess grease and return skillet to heat. Add BBQ sauce, Dijon mustard, and Cajun seasoning, stirring well to combine.
- Reduce heat to low and cook for 1-2 minutes, then remove from heat.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Separate the rolls using a serrated knife and place the bottom halves on the prepared baking sheet.
- Mix mayonnaise and Sriracha in a small bowl, then spread over the cut sides of the rolls.
- Sprinkle half of the shredded cheese over the mayo, then layer the turkey mixture and top with remaining cheese.
- Cover with the top halves of the rolls, brush with melted butter, and sprinkle with everything bagel seasoning.
- Bake for about 10 minutes or until cheese melts and tops are golden.
- Let sliders rest before serving warm.
Notes
For extra flavor, let the turkey mixture sit for 30 minutes before assembling. Customize sliders with your favorite toppings.
